- Rating: from ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500
- Materials: duplex stainless steel, nickel alloy (and others);
- Types of end connection: flanged end, buttwelding end, ring joint end;
- Soft and metal to metal seals;
- Applications: Specially designed for off-shore and deep water applications.
Due to the severe service conditions the valve has to withstand, and in order to assure high reliability, improvements are made on its structure and operability, with increased wall thickness and stem diameter. Considering the external pressure, additional secondary gaskets are fitted in order to prevent seawater entry into the cavity.
Better performance is obtained by using tungsten carbide coating in metal to metal sealing between seat and ball.
Sub-sea valves can be manually operated or fitted with actuators.

CONSTRUCTIVE VERSIONS
The ball valves SUB-SEA range can be manufactured with the following connection:
- FLANGED with flanges at the two ends.
- BUTTWELDING with two welding bevels made in accordance with standard and with the customer
requests. The welding bevels are equipped with centering ring for the positioning and line
welding;
- RTJ. |

Our design dept. works with the more sophisticated and advances information engineering applications for the realisation of the
products. Thanks to these simulating programs our valves are designed in 3D and their structure is verified through the Finite Elements System in order to obtain the simulation of a perfect
functioning.

Seat features
The independent springs precharge the seat of the
Trunnion valves, ensuring the contact between the seat
and the ball. This feature improves the seal even at
different pressures.
Design features
The trunnion design is realised to maintain a fix
position of the ball between the upper shaft and the
lower Trunnion bolt.
Operating stem
The antiblowout system of the stem (which is independent
from the ball) permits the gasket change with the valve
in fully closed position, even under pressure.
The shaft seal is ensured through three gaskets (two
o-rings and one in graphite).
Antistatic system according to BS 5146
The electrical continuity among all valve components is
determined by a stainless steel charged spring between
the ball and the Trunnion bolt.
Low operation torque system
Thanks to the self-lubricant bearings placed on the
upper valve bolt and on the trunnion bolt the friction
factor is reduced, improving the valve operation.
Automatic pressure control system
The valve is designed with a system that permits to
regulate the pressure excess that could be created into
the body. The excess pressure is regulated thanks to the
loaded spring that will open the seat.
By-pass and drain
The by-pass and drain holes can be assembled upon
customer request.
Emergency seat
In case of emergency the valve seal can be regenerated
thanks to the "emergency seat" system that
operates through the sealing supplied with the valve.

The ball valves SUB-SEA range is operated through a positioning control.
Our valves are manufactured for the following kind of controls:
Manual through lever and position bush;
Manual through reduction gear equipped with handwheel;
Electric equipped with reduction gear;
Pneumatic with double or simple effect;
Hydraulic with double or simple effect;
In order to ensure a perfect functioning of the valves Tecnica Industriale SRL can directly carry out the calibration and assembling of the actuators.

These valves can be supplied with
extended shaft for underground applications or for
remote and inaccessible installations.
The extensions have a tube design and a water tight.
The customer must specify the high that is measured form
the centre line of the valve up to the handwheel axis.
