MOVIMOT® gearmotor with integrated
frequency inverter
|
MOVIMOT®, the gearmotor with an
integrated frequency inverter, is a
tried-and-tested combination of gearmotor and
digital frequency inverter in the 0.37 to 4.0 kW
power range. Despite the integrated frequency
inverter, MOVIMOT® requires only
slightly more installation space than standard
gearmotors and can, of course, be supplied in all
standard versions and mounting positions, with and
without a brake, for supply voltages of 380 to 500
V and 200 to 240 V. The gearmotors have IP54
enclosure as standard, but the MOVIMOT®
gearmotor is also available with IP55, IP65 and
IP66 enclosures on request. This gearmotor is a
heavy-duty and compact version for a number of
decentralized drive solutions. SEW-EURODRIVE
offers an optional SafetyDrive package for this
application to fit plants in compliance with
safety category 3 of EN 954-1.

|
MOVIMOT® can be equipped with a BEM or URM brake
control system as an option in conjunction with a
modular terminal box. The option is integrated in
the MOVIMOT® terminal box.

The BW100.../BW200... braking resistors in IP65
enclosure convert the MOVIMOT®
drive’s regenerative energy of up to 100 W/200 W
continuous power into heat.

The optional DC 24 V power supply MLU11A is
mounted in a MOVIMOT® cable gland and
allows for operation of one MOVIMOT®
including an option with a current consumption of
up to 70 mA (MBG11A, MWA21A) without an external
24 V auxiliary power supply.

DC 24 V power supply MLU13A
|
|
The optional DC 24 V power supply MLU13A is
mounted in the MOVIMOT® terminal box
and allows for operation of one MOVIMOT®
including an option with a current consumption of
up to 70 mA (MBG11A, MWA21A) without an external
24V auxiliary power supply.

MLG setpoint control module
|
|
The optional MLG..A setpoint generator is mounted
in a cable gland of MOVIMOT® and
offers the option of adjusting the input speed in
the range of -100% to +100 % fmax
(potentiometer f1) as well as of powering the
inverter with the DC 24 V auxiliary voltage.

MBG11A setpoint control module
|
|
The optional MBG11A setpoint control module has
two keys and a display. MBG11A.. makes it possible
to adjust the speed remotely in the range from
-100% to +100% fmax (potentiometer f1).
Up to 31 MOVIMOT® units can be
controlled at the same time (broadcasting).

MWA21A setpoint converter
|
|
The optional MWA21A setpoint converter converts an
analog setpoint and the control signals into an
RS-485 protocol. The MWA21A enables the MOVIMOT®
to be controlled remotely from the control
cabinet. Up to 31 MOVIMOT® units can
be controlled at the same time (broadcasting).
|
|
|
|
The DBG60B keypad can be used to control MOVIMOT®
drives with integrated AS interface in manual
mode. Furthermore, important information can be
displayed in monitor mode.
The DBG60B keypad is connected to the diagnostic
interface in the MOVIMOT® terminal
box.
|
|
|
|
The optional MDG11A diagnostic unit indicates the
operating status, output current, terminal
statuses and MOVIMOT® fault codes when
faults occur.
|
|
|
|
The MNF11A line filter option is mounted in the
MOVIMOT® terminal box and allows for a
drive system that complies with the emitted
interference stipulated in EN 61800-3 as well
as with the class B limit according to EN 55011
and EN 55014.

P2.A mount for mounting near motor
|
|
The P2.A option allows the MOVIMOT®
inverter to be mounted near the motor (offset).
The inverter is connected to the motor using a
pre-fabricated hybrid cable. MOVIMOT®
with option P2.A is supplied in enclosure IP65.

MOVI-SWITCH® gearmotor with integrated switching and
protection functions
|
|
MOVI-SWITCH® gearmotor with
integrated switching and protection functions
|
MOVI-SWITCH® is a particularly
efficient solution for decentralization with power
performance up to 3 kW (4 hp). The
switching and protection functions integrated into
the motor terminal box mean that this compact and
sturdy gearmotor does not require any additional
cables. This also means that MOVI-SWITCH®
does not require any additional control cabinet
space. Control for one or two rotation directions,
thermal motor protection and an optional
AS-interface are all integrated in this compact
motor. All AC motors and brakemotors can be
combined in the MOVI-SWITCH® program
with all matching gear units from the SEW-EURODRIVE
modular system. The BGW brake control enables
short response times during release and braking,
and is a standard component of all brake motors.
MOVI-SWITCH® is available with
enclosures up to IP65 in all gear unit versions
and sizes.

Field distributors for decentralized installation
Field distributors streamline drive connection with the
power supply system, DC 24 V control voltage and
fieldbus. They are based on bus interface technology with
additional connection technology for network distribution.
The field distributor is installed close to the motor, which
facilitates decentralized installation. Field distributors
Z.1, Z.3 and Z.7 are available as an option in an IP66
enclosure (protected against powerful water jets even if
water contains acidic or caustic additives). These field
distributors are the perfect match for MOVIMOT®
and MOVI-SWITCH® for fast, economical and
flexible decentralization of your system.
Components for decentralized drive engineering with IP66 or
IP67 enclosures
SEW-EURODRIVE components for decentralized drive engineering
are available with the IP66 enclosure as an option. Some are
also available with the IP67 enclosure. A range of
additional optional measures and the use of special
materials allow components to be used in extreme ambient
conditions, such as with acidic or caustic cleaning

Fieldbus interfaces
Type MF
Optional MF.. fieldbus interfaces allow MOVIMOT®
and MOVI-SWITCH® drives to connect to a
standardized fieldbus system. These fieldbus interfaces not
only allow for controlling MOVIMOT® and MOVI-SWITCH®
drives, but also for reading sensor signals as well as
controlling actuators via the digital input and output
terminals. All fieldbus interfaces and field distributors
come with the IP65 enclosure as standard. The fieldbus
interfaces may be mounted, as required, directly on the
drive, offset in the field, or in the field distributor. The
following fieldbus interfaces are available:
Type MQ
The optional fieldbus interfaces of the MQ.. type are based
on the same housing and fieldbus technology as type MF…
fieldbus interfaces, but are additionally equipped with an
integrated controller featuring the following functions:

|
|
The MFG11A keypad is plugged onto any MFZ..
connection module instead of a fieldbus interface
for manual control of a MOVIMOT® drive.

The DBG60B keypad can be used to control MOVIMOT®
drives via a fieldbus interface in manual mode.
The process data words can also be displayed in
monitor mode.
The DBG60B keypad is connected directly to the
diagnostic interface of the MF..MQ.. fieldbus
interface.

Hybrid cables for decentralized installation
Our hybrid cables were developed in-house and are
combination cables that carry the power supply, control
voltage and communication strands in one cable sheath. They
also ensure optimum EMC shielding and impedance. The hybrid
cable for connecting MOVIMOT® to field
distributors combines the communication interface and supply
and control voltage connections in one cable and is supplied
as a pre-fabricated cable with a plug connection. MOVIMOT®
drives with attached hybrid cables are easy to connect to
field distributors and ready for use. They are ideal for all
systems with high demands on availability.

MOVIPRO® – Optimized, decentralized drive control system
MOVIPRO® is the ideal drive control system for
mobile applications.
The continuing trend towards decentralization, the limited
space in the case of system expansions and the increasing
modularization mean that, for a number of applications, the
inverter and control functions must be moved from the
control cabinet to the field. In this case, a “micro
control cabinet in the field” represents an optimal
solution: the MOVIPRO® decentralized frequency
inverter.
The MOVIPRO® decentralized frequency inverter is
a completely decentralized system for drive control
installed in a compact, modular housing.
The tried and tested SEW-EURODRIVE modular system is also
used for the MOVIPRO® decentralized frequency
inverter. The modular concept for the MOVIPRO®
decentralized frequency inverter consists of a modular
housing concept and different unit components which can be
freely combined. The housing concept uses a modular design
with various different pre-defined components which are
optimized for application in the field. Depending on
individual requirements, different unit components can be
installed in the modular housing. Unit components include,
e.g. optimized power sections, communications and power
supply components as well as local I/O’s and synchronous
encoder systems.

ECOFAST® compliant drive systems
Open, non-proprietary system solution
ECOFAST® compliant drive systems
Leading companies have teamed up as ECOFAST®
system partners to develop a non-proprietary system solution
for decentralization without control cabinets that still
leaves lots of room for innovative concepts. For greater
standardization in automation and drive engineering. This
approach is based on the completely decentralized
installation and direct installation of the units on the
machines. In addition to communicating using PROFIBUS DP and
an AS interface, devices in the ECOFAST® system
are powered in a linear arrangement using a power bus. All
automation, drive and installation components are combined
to form a comprehensive total solution with standardized
connection technology for data and power transfer. The
ECOFAST® ES project planning tool supports the
power-specific design of a system. Communication using
standardized fieldbuses and consistent use of standardized
interfaces based on the Desina specification make ECOFAST®
a non-proprietary and flexible system solution.
DT/DV...ASK1 AC motors
SEW-EURODRIVE's ECOFAST® compliant AC motors in
the 0.37 to 5.5 kW power range are equipped with the ASK1
plug connector option. The ASK1 plug connector consists of
the HAN10ES plug connector with a pin insert, a
single-bracket easy lock and an EMC frame. An optional
carrier plate for mounting switching and control units can
also be attached.
MQP and MQP...MM field distributors
MQP and MQP..MM field distributors are ECOFAST®
compliant field distributors with comprehensive
functionality. They are equipped with a PROFIBUS I/O
interface, connection for ECOFAST® power plug
connector, pluggable motor connection and a triple-lock
maintenance switch. The MQP..MM field distributor also has
an integrated MOVIMOT® inverter.
Compact MOVIMOT® MME
The compact MOVIMOT® MME is an ECOFAST®
compliant field distributor with an integrated MOVIMOT®
inverter and PROFIBUS I/O interface. MOVIMOT®
MME also has a connection for an ECOFAST® power
plug connector and a pluggable motor connector.
